Canopy (Classic Style With a Canopy!) -

A beautiful piece of nursery furniture in a classic style with very elongated spindles on each corner to support a canopy. Canopy cribs make any nursery look elegant and refined.

Convertible -

A versatile piece of baby furniture as it grows with baby and will serve you well for years. These baby cribs convert to a toddler bed and then to a full-size bed or daybed that fits a twin mattress! They are excellent value for their money!

Round -

This is an exquisite new style in baby beds that is becoming very popular. It really is actually a round baby crib and is a perfect complement to any baby nursery. Round cribs are have a very designer and trendy look to them!

Bassinets and Baby Cradles-

These are small scale baby cribs that usually have some type of a portable stand and they usually have some type of a rocking device in them. Bassinets are designed for newborn babies up to 3 months, and are suitable and convenient for keeping next to parents' beds during their baby's first three months. Babies love rocking and swaying movements, and bassinets and baby cradles provide this for them.

Crib Mattress -

Don’t forget that when you buy new baby cribs you do not get the mattress with it, you will have to order the crib mattress too!

We don't recommend that you use old mattresses as older mattresses have usually lost their firmness and if they were not stored correctly they often harbor mold, mildew and dust; none of which are good for baby's lungs!

There are two types of baby mattresses two choose from: foam mattresses and innerspring mattresses.

Foam -

The best foam mattress is one that is quite firm, heavier in weight and finally it should regain it's original shape fairly quickly after you take weight off the mattress. Most reputable mattress manufacturers use good quality, dense foam ~ that is why paying a little more for a brand name pays off when buying baby mattresses.

Innerspring -

This type of mattress is made with a centre of metal springs and a border of steel rods. Most good quality innerspring mattresses have a few layers of cushioning on top of the coils - the more the better. The cushioning can be made from foam, cotton batting, felt, etc. As a general guideline a 150 count coil baby mattress with 9.0 gauge steel border rods and 13.5 gauge carbon tempered steel coils is a good all-around crib mattress that will last long you through all the babies that your family decides to have.

safety guidelines for round cribs, baby cribs, bassinets & baby cradles

  • The space between baby crib bars should be no more than 2 3/8” (6cm).
  • Mattress should fit snugly on all sides; no more than two fingers should fit between the crib frame and crib mattress.
  • Crib rails must require two movements to be moved down. This ensures that an infant cannot put the rail down.
  • Baby crib mobiles should be removed when your child is 5-7 months. At this age babies can reach and grab. Baby mobiles are very delicate and can be broken easily. The broken pieces could create a choking hazard.
  • Locate cribs away from windows in your baby nursery. Breaking glass and hanging cords from curtains and blinds can be fatal to infants.
  • Keep baby cribs away from electrical outlets. Even if the outlets are covered.

Remember to enjoy your baby! They are actually only babies for one year, and one year goes very fast! Your baby deserves only the best ~ so make this year count!
