Soft And Cozy! This Is What Perfect Nursery Bedding And Crib Linens Should Bring to Mind!It can be hard to believe the amount of nursery bedding and crib linens that will go through your laundry in the first few months of baby's life! Most new parents do not consider all the work that this extra baby bedding laundry creates!! This is just a kindly warning to get prepared! It is an understatement to say that nursery bedding and crib linens are a very important addition to baby's nursery. You will need three or four fitted crib sheets for your crib, cradle or bassinet. (Do not even think about buying flat bottom sheets, they will NOT stay in place and will be an extra stress and extra work for you during baby's early months!). You will also need one to six small waterproof pads, these are absolutely essential as keeping them under a sleeping baby creates a much easier laundry option than having to change the whole set of crib bedding every time baby spits up! You should also consider buying two soft and cozy, washable crib blankets. This has been a life saver in our house, as when one is in the wash (especially after baby spits up) you always have baby blanket #2 to use in the crib! You will want to note that it is important to buy bumper pads for baby's crib. This will prevent your baby from bumping his/her head on the bars of their crib. If you plan on buying a set of nursery bedding and crib linens you will get baby bumper pads included. They can also be purchased separately and it is recommended that you buy a couple of extra sets to cover you when you are a little behind in the mountains of laundry that you will experience! It is useful to check laundry instructions on any baby bedding that you buy, if it requires dry cleaning you may want to forgo the extra expense that this will incur and choose a set that is machine washable. This is also a useful tip for when you are looking to buy bedding for your own bedroom too! It is important that nursery bedding and crib linens are made from a natural and high quality fabric, as a baby's skin can be quite sensitive. Some synthetic fabrics can cause baby's skin to become irritated. Also remember to wash your baby's bedding the same as you would wash their clothing - do not use detergent which can also irritate baby's delicate skin. Use only baby laundry soap such as Ivory Snow.
