Designer Baby Furniture Is Just A Click Away

If you thought you had to leave your home and head for Beverly Hills to find designer baby furniture, then think again. Of course, most big cities have children’s furniture stores that cater to the wealthy, offering designer cribs and accessories at outrageous prices. Frankly, even if you wanted to enter into one of these stores just to browse, it can be quite an intimidating experience. Thankfully, with the boom of dot.com companies, you can now shop at designer stores for designer baby furniture and have a one of a kind crib, or blanket, delivered right to your door.

Designer baby furniture is no longer for only the rich and famous. The reality is many women are waiting until later in their life to have children; therefore, they tend to be a more mature buyer. Consequently, there are many families out there looking to create a room for their baby that is an extension of their home.

They are seeking designer expertise, watching home design shows, and purchasing magazines to find a look that will compliment the rest of the home decor. Furthermore, women are more educated and more successful in the work force today than ever before, thus enabling them to purchase more lucrative items with their own money.

Evidence of the demand for designer baby furniture is seen in the expansion of furniture lines in stores such as Ethan Allen, Pottery Barn and The Bombay Company. All of these stores now carry furniture for children to keep up with trendy parents who seek to create rooms that will not only grow with their children, but reflects the rest of the rooms in the home as well. Just imagine walking into Pottery Barn to pick up some home furnishings and finding something for your little one’s room at the same time. What a dream!

Of course some of the price tags on designer baby furniture items are extremely outrageous. Imagine paying $7,000.00 for a baby crib shaped as Cinderella’s carriage! Then again, if money is no object, then that might be a really good deal. Either way, buying nursery furniture doesn’t necessarily mean you have to mortgage your home in order to purchase something for your baby’s room. It does, however, require some patience, some research and a good eye for design.

If you are anything like me, you like to see what designer baby furniture is being bought by the rich and famous for their children. If you are anything like me, you would probably think that $15,000.00 for a Martha’s Vineyard Play House is ridiculous (but if you had the money you would consider buying it). If you are anything like me, you want the best for your baby and if you can afford buying designer nursery furnishings, then it’s good to know that it’s only a click away.
